A comprehensive search by the police happened on Saturday evening because a young man ran out of his family’s apartment wearing inappropriate clothing

A 20-year-old from the north German county of Verden, who had left his home in a drunken state after a family quarrel, triggered a major police deployment. According to police reports, the reason was the young man did not wear “weather-resistant clothing”.

Relatives had been worried about him because he was dressed only in a T-shirt in November. They contacted the police and an extensive search was initiated, in which a police helicopter was briefly involved. After several hours, around 0:10 o’clock, the drunk idiot was found by relatives asleep in the car of a neighbor.

Such style!

I wish I could be that cool.

The Brits are not really known for their good looks. The stereotypical male Brit is considered to have bad teeth and a massive beer belly. However, this might not just be a stereotype. An online dating website has released information that sort of confirms it.

BeautifulPeople.com is the dating website which has caused controversy precisely because it’s only for the beautiful. Prospective users register their interest, then sit tight for 48 hours while existing members of the opposite sex vote on their looks.

The site has over 1 million members and since 2002 it has rejected 8.5 million people worldwide for not being attractive enough. Even though I find this concept appalling, it does give us some interesting information.

Greg Hodge, managing director of the company, has confirmed that most rejected people come from the United Kingdom. It shares the last place with India, Russia, and the Phillippines. This was a bitter pill to swallow for him since he is English.

He said: “Sweden and Norway are proving to be the most aesthetically blessed nations in the world. UK men and women aren’t faring well, especially UK men, who share the dubious honor of being classified as the ugliest in the world on par with Russian and Polish men. I would say Britain is stumbling, especially the men, because of a general lack of grooming and an inactive pub culture lifestyle.”
